In memory of Bella!
Sweet little Bella was surrendered to a shelter in Frederick County Maryland. The workers at the shelter knew right away that they could not adopt this kitten out of the shelter and immediately contacted Sphynx Rescue via email. We sent out a local volunteer to pick up Bella and possibly foster to adopt! We were very excited as it has been 2 years since we have had a kitten in rescue!
Here is a note from Bella's foster mom:
"In January of '08 I received an email from the Spyhnx Rescue about an urgent need to pick up a kitten from the Frederick County, MD animal control. I have a soft spot in my heart for cats as witnessed by my adoption of four of them that share my home now. I have always wanted a hairless kitty and this was a dream come true.
I picked up this little bundle of skin with a big bald head and immediately fell in love with her. I named her Bella which I thought suited her perfectly. She was a very special little girl. She would curl up on my neck and loved to snuggle. If love could have saved her life she would have still been with us. She passed away due to respiratory infection and a very poor state of health. I had her only a week but the memory of her will last me my lifetime."

Little Bella became very sick as a result of being exposed to the viruses at the shelter and the stress of being displaced several tiimes. Although she received a ton of love and excellent Veterinary care, Bella's tiny body had been through too much. Please consider donating to Sphynx Rescue in Bella's memory. This shelter is run totally on donations. We rely on the kindness of others to help us to care for these homeless Sphynx. We greatly appreciate anything that comes our way.
