Please Help Me!

Sphynx Rescue has recently acquired a female Sphynx that weighs about 4-5 pounds. She has been a sickly Sphynx her entire life. Past medical records from her previous owner show workup and treatment for a moderate case of probable IBD (Irritable Bowel Disease). She has been treated in the past with the typical round of hypoallergenic diet, Prednisolone, and Flagyl with only short term success. The rescue has sent out a very extensive blood panel (including Pancreatic Enzymes) and are awaiting the results. This little girl has been in rescue for about a month and has never had a solid bowel movement. She is currently on an all raw rabbit diet and is starting to put on a little weight but continues to be sick. We will most likely incur a lot of medical expenses just trying to properly diagnose this little girl, so please consider donating to help us treat Peanut! Any amount helps!

This girl is a sweet, loving girl that wants nothing more than to snuggle with her very chubby brother, Shmedly.

Update!!! Some preliminary labwork is back and her TLI is extremely high which is indicative of Pancreatic pathology and significant small intestinal disease. Please keep Peanut in your prayers.

Update 11-7-07: Please consider donating to help this girl have a fighting chance! Our vet has recommended that we take Peanut to a specialist in Akron. The procedure they would like to do is going to cost the rescue about $1800! This procedure may save her life and allow her to be adopted into a permanent loving home!
