INTRODUCING STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

On Christmas morning 2004, we awoke to find that our beloved Onya had been suffocated in a cedar chest.  Our family was devastated, especially my 4 year old, Gianna.  Onya was her kitty and they were very close.  A member of the Sphynx Rescue Yahoo Group, Karen Nakamaki in FL, generously gave us a kitten.  She knew how hard Gianna was taking the loss and hoped that a new kitten would help Gianna to cope.  On December 31, 2004, Strawberry Shortcake joined our family.  From the moment SS came home, she bonded with Gianna.  It was almost like she knew that she was sent here to comfort her.  We will never forget our Onya and we hope that her loss is a warning to other people that have cedar chests.
